Wet Court Forces Cancellation of Bullets-Nets Exhibition Game

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Condensation on the basketball court forced officials to cancel Saturday’s exhibition between the New Jersey Nets and the Washington Bullets.
The excess moisture was caused by high humidity in the air and the ice rink below the court, said Jim Bozzi, public relations director for the New Haven Coliseum.
Bozzi said rescheduling information would be announced Monday and that all tickets would be honored if the game is rescheduled.
Friday night, fog forming above the surface of the ice forced nine delays in a hockey match between the New Haven Nighthawks and Maine. The Nighthawks, the minor league affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, lost the match, 9-5.
