Black & Decker Corp.: The Towson, Md.-based power tool maker reported a third-quarter profit of $18 million, contrasted with last year’s $29-million loss. Revenue leaped 21% to $1.3 billion. The company said strong international sales and improved manufacturing efficiency boosted results.
