Van Nuys’ Bray to Box for U.S. Against Soviets

John Bray (201 pounds) of Van Nuys was named to the United States boxing team that is competing in the 1990 United States-Soviet Union Invitational at McNichols Arena in Denver on Nov. 16.
The San Fernando Valley chapter of the National Football Foundation honored its players of the week Wednesday. Included were El Camino Real High running back Ryan Marine; a trio of quarterbacks, L.A. Baptist’s Dane Brown, Birmingham’s Vince Lampkin and Flintridge Prep’s Chaka Miller; Glendale safety Ely Enriquez; and Kennedy fullback Damon Tice.
