Long Beach Grants: In a smaller version of Los Angeles’ L.A. Endowment for the Arts-funded cultural grants, Long Beach’s Public Corporation for the Arts has awarded $368,000 to four resident performing arts organizations, 28 community arts groups and eight individual artists. The largest awards, which ranged from $50,000 to $70,000, went to the Long Beach Ballet, Civic Light Opera, Opera and Symphony Orchestra.
