Five Mmebers of Cal State Long Beach Football Team Selected for All-Stars

Cal State Long Beach senior linebacker Pepper Jenkins and junior defensive end Edward Lair have been named to the All-Big West Conference first team.
Jenkins had six sacks and 93 tackles, 16 of which came in a 37-35 victory over Cal State Fullerton. Lair had 61 tackles and led the team in sacks with 10.
Making the all-league second team from the 49ers were junior receiver Mark Seay, senior safety Shawn Wilbourn and junior kicker Sean Cheevers.
Receiving honorable mention were junior receiver Jeff Exum, senior defensive back Leon Patterson, sophomore defensive back Shawn Lawson, junior quarterback Todd Studer, junior linebacker Calvin Thomas, senior center Ron Byers and junior offensive linemen Corey Yeager and Kelly Schlegel.
