Campeau Corp., Toronto, named Stanley Hartt chairman to succeed Robert Despres, who served as interim chairman following the ouster of company founder Robert Campeau. Hartt, a former chief of staff for Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and deputy Canadian finance minister, was named president and chief executive two weeks ago.
