Splitsville: Playwright Tom Stoppard and his wife, Miriam, both 53, are separating, they announced. The law firm of Harbottle and Lewis, in a statement, said: “Tom and Miriam Stoppard, who have amicably maintained separate residences for some time past, announced that they have agreed on a legal separation.” Stoppard, best known for “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,” and his wife have been married 18 years.
