Sympathy, Aid for the Homeless
It has been stated in the press and on television that people are becoming less sympathetic toward the homeless. I would like to refute that statement.
We are being blamed for what government and business should be blamed for. Who closed the state mental institutions? Who closed down the clinics? Who is shutting down companies, both large and small, and forcing the middle class out on the street?
People are not turning a deaf ear. It is that there are more people out on the streets and it is becoming overwhelming.
Don’t put the onus on the people. Blame it on those who provoked this intolerable situation.
