Coldwell Banker Expands: Coldwell Banker Residential Group has increased its ranks by 23 new offices in Massachusetts.
The deal occurred earlier this month when Hunneman & Co., a major Boston-based regional residential real estate firm, decided to drop its affiliation with another large residential chain, Better Homes and Gardens Realty, a Hunneman spokeswoman said.
In addition to affiliating its 23 Boston-area offices with Coldwell, Hunneman purchased 14 of Coldwell’s company-owned offices in the Boston area. Neither company will disclose the value of that deal.
The deal gives Mission Viejo-based Coldwell a big presence in the Boston market, with a total of 37 offices and 750 agents and brokers in the Coldwell Banker/Hunneman & Co. group.
