Man, 25, Shot Dead in Oceanside Park

A 25-year-old man was shot several times and killed in an Oceanside park Thursday afternoon, police said.
Michael Charles Jackson of Vista was pronounced dead at at the scene by a Life Flight doctor, Jerry Hilbrand of the county medical examiner’s office said.
Police arrived at John Landes Park, in the 4000 block of Lewis Street, about 2:45 p.m. and found Jackson apparently shot by a handgun several times in the upper body, said Eric Anderson, spokesman for the Oceanside Police Department.
