Verna K. Webster; Former Company President

Verna Katherine Webster, former owner and president of Four Star Precision Products in Van Nuys, has died at her Granada Hills home. She was 79.
A former longtime resident of Arleta, Mrs. Webster died Sunday of heart failure, her goddaughter Cindy Van Order said.
Born Jan. 27, 1911, in Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Webster came to California in the early 1940s. In 1953, she and her husband, Charles Webster, started Four Star Precision Products, a manufacturer of military aircraft components.
Mrs. Webster served as the company’s vice president until her husband’s death in 1982. She then was president until she sold the company last year.
She is survived by her goddaughter Van Order of Granada Hills and Van Order’s two children, also Mrs. Webster’s godchildren. She is also survived by three nieces. Mrs. Webster’s daughter, Charlotte Webster, died in 1987.
Visitation is planned from 2 to 9 p.m. today in the mortuary at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, 1712 S. Glendale Ave. A funeral is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church, 8800 Woodman Ave., Arleta, of which she was a member. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale. Donations may be made in Mrs. Webster’s name to the church.
