The Region : Water Pollution Workshops

Ground-water contamination in the San Gabriel Valley will be the focus of workshops that are expected to draw local, state and federal officials as well as community business leaders and environmentalists to El Monte Friday.
Alex Sanchez, president of Rio Hondo Community College, will be moderator for the series of workshops at the El Monte Community Center, 3130 Tyler Ave.
Registration for the meeting, sponsored by the El Monte-South El Monte Chamber of Commerce, is to begin at 8:30 a.m. Sessions will start at 9 a.m. and last until noon. Information is available from the Chamber of Commerce at (818) 443-0180.
