GARDEN GROVE : Freeze on Nightclub Permits Is Extended
- Share via
The City Council has extended a freeze on new dance halls in Garden Grove for another year.
The council voted unanimously to continue its moratorium on new permits for nightclubs that feature dancing as the city awaits a U.S. Supreme Court decision that is expected to spell out new guidelines concerning the regulation of those types of businesses.
Officials say five nightclubs have been closed for problems, including traffic, noise, litter and crime.
