An overweight, balding, gray-haired man of about 60 held six people at gunpoint Monday morning while taking an undisclosed amount of cash from a Security Pacific Bank in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy Lt. Kelli McIlvain said the man entered the bank at 173 N. Moorpark Road at 9:45 a.m. He ordered two tellers to hand over the contents of their cash drawers while holding four other bank employees and two customers at bay with a small handgun, McIlvain said.
The gunman disappeared after walking out the front door of the bank.
The robber was described as a white man, 5-foot-8, about 200 pounds, with gray hair, balding on top, and a gray beard and mustache.
