A man suspected of robbing 15 San Diego banks since February, usually while wearing an Oakland Athletics cap, struck again Monday, San Diego police said.
A man fitting the description of the “A’s bandit” entered the San Diego Trust & Savings Bank at 6906 Miramar Road at 11:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. The note said: “I have a gun. Give me all your money.”
The man took the note back, and put about $400 cash into a briefcase he was carrying before fleeing on foot, Robinson said. Repeating what he did at a robbery last Friday, the bandit eschewed his baseball hat.
On Monday, he had slicked back his short, light-brown hair, and wore a dark suit and a pastel, paisley shirt.
He was described as white, in his 20s, 5-foot-8 to 6-foot, 160 pounds, with a thin build and a youthful appearance.
