Western Union May Change Name: One of the nation’s oldest corporate names may be going the way of the telegraph with which it is linked. Western Union Corp., which has abandoned the telecommunications business, may change its name to counter bad publicity linked to its financial problems. The company, based in Upper Saddle River, N.J., may call itself New Valley Corp. New Valley is part of its original name--the New York and Mississippi Valley Printing Telegraph Co.
