So Janny Scott was told (“Frankfurt Is the Taj Mahal of Railroad Stations”), apparently by a local patriot or one too young to know better, that Frankfurt, with its 25 tracks, is Europe’s largest train station.
She should visit Leipzig’s station built 1902 to 1905. With 26 platforms and 52 tracks, it can accommodate the Frankfort station twice inside. Leipzig is the largest station in the world.

Janny Scott replies: The Leipzig station is the largest station measured by tracks and platforms. Frankfurt, however, outdoes Leipzig by far in traffic--incoming and outgoing trains, passengers and freight--as well as employees and annual income.
