Kerry Crabb, an assistant football coach at Mater Dei High School, has been hired as head coach at West Torrance, the school announced Wednesday.
Crabb, a graduate of Dana Hills, replaces co-coaches Mark Knox and John Black, who led West Torrance to a tri-championship of the Pioneer League last season. The Warriors lost to Temecula Valley in the second round of the Southern Section Division VIII playoffs.
Crabb has been an assistant at Mater Dei the past three seasons. He also was an assistant at South Gate for four seasons.
