A day after Detroit Tiger President Bo Schembechler gave the city and Wayne County until Aug. 1 to come up with a plan to build a new stadium with public money, two state senators said they were prepared to advance legislation to block a new stadium. They called instead for renovation of existing Tiger Stadium.
