Riverside’s Lucero Wins Four-Lap Main

Steve Lucero of Riverside won the four-lap scratch main event in front of 4,179 in the weekly speedway program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa was second, Billy Hamill of Monrovia was third and Robert Pfetzing of Santa Ana was fourth.

Hamill won the eight-lap handicap main event. Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was second, Pfetzing was third and Mike Faria of Colton was fourth.
