Baseball Star Ad Blitz Planned: Get ready to see a lot of Nolan Ryan and Rickey Henderson ads. Ryan, 44, just pitched his seventh no-hitter; Henderson set an all-time base-stealing mark. Advil, which has featured Ryan in its commercials for a year, will devote all its TV advertising for a week to the right-handed fireballer from Texas. Advil’s maker, American Home Products Corp., is placing print ads congratulating the Texas Rangers’ pitcher in USA Today and the National, a sports daily. Executives at Warner-Lambert, which makes Rolaids, plan to heavily air a TV spot featuring Henderson, the Oakland A’s outfielder who eclipsed Lou Brock’s base-stealing mark. The New York ad agency Young & Rubicam created both campaigns.
