A Communist activist has upset the interim prime minister in a Parliament race in the leader’s home district, according to early results from the Himalayan kingdom’s first multi-party elections in 32 years. Madan Bhandari outpolled Krishna Prasad Bhattarai of the Nepali Congress Party in the Katmandu constituency.
