PREP POLLS : Esperanza Ends Season Atop Baseball Poll

Esperanza High School’s baseball team is top-ranked in the final Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. poll, becoming the only team to win the county’s mythical championship twice in the past eight years.
Esperanza (23-2) follows Tustin (1990), Laguna Hills (1989), El Dorado (1988), Esperanza (1987), Sonora (1986), Mater Dei (1985) and Capistrano Valley (1984) as the county champion.
