SHINE A LIGHT: An Orange group that supports foster parents was named a “daily point of light” Tuesday by the White House. Liz Lafferty, founder of Advanced Resources for Foster Kids, said the honor “tells us we’re on the right track” in helping parents who take in abused foster children. . . . The White House said ARK is the fourth county organization honored in the last nine months. Founded in 1984, ARK gets help from more than 80 volunteers.
