TALKING IT OUT: Nine out of 10 calls last year to the Dispute Resolution Center of Orange County regarding fair housing issues, above, came from tenants. Most of the inquiries from landlords were on how to evict a tenant. The center was set up 10 years ago and is sponsored by the Central Orange County YWCA. . . . Center mediators say they try to help “peacefully resolve problems” between neighbors and between consumers and merchants as well as landlords and tenants.
