Convicted sports fixer Richard Perry had seats directly behind the UNLV bench in the Rebels’ basketball game against Florida State last December, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The paper published a photo of Perry sitting behind the UNLV bench at the game Dec. 22. The seat was one of 25 given to Nike shoe representative Sonny Vaccaro, who promoted the game.

Vaccaro said he gave the seats to either UNLV Coach Jerry Tarkanian or the coach’s friend, casino host Mike Toney. Tarkanian said he didn’t know Perry was at the game, and that it would not be fair to link him to Perry’s presence at the game because the seats were in Vaccaro’s name.
