The ‘80s are over, aren’t they? We are evolving into a society marked by an enhanced concern for the environment and a renewed commitment to the values of thrift and prudence, aren’t we? Yet the Real Estate section persists in dragging us back to the days of greed and excess in its weekly feature, “Hot Property.”

Let’s change “Hot Property” to “No Property” and detail the circumstances which forced homeowners out of their houses and onto the street or has made homeownership impossible for a growing segment of the American people.
