Norwalk : Firestone Blvd. Off-Ramp to Be Closed for 5 Months
- Share via
The westbound Firestone Boulevard off-ramp from the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605) in Norwalk will be closed for about five months beginning today to allow for construction of a new interchange connecting the 605 and the Glenn M. Anderson (Century) Freeway (I-105).
Motorists will be directed to exit the freeway at the Imperial Highway off-ramp, and take Hoxie Avenue to Firestone Boulevard.
The $63-million interchange project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 1992. The interchange is part of the $2-billion I-105 freeway, the largest public works project in the nation. The freeway is scheduled to open in late 1993.
