Authorities are investigating two apparent homicides that took place in San Diego County over the weekend.
On Saturday, National City police were called to a home in the 1100 block of E Street about 2:20 p.m. where they discovered the body of a Latino man they believed had been dead for some time. Authorities said the man, whom they did not identify, had been shot several times.
In San Diego, police are investigating the discovery of a body found slumped inside a car in Logan Heights.
The man, identified only as Latino and in his 30s, was discovered about 9:20 a.m. Sunday inside a car parked in the 2200 block of National Avenue. Police said he had been shot once in the head.
The victim was wearing faded blue jeans and a blue and gold striped long-sleeve shirt.
Authorities said autopsies would be conducted in both cases.
