Half ‘Naked’: Pressures aside, Arts & Entertainment cable on Sept. 1 will show an edited version of “Good Cop, Bad Cop,” a controversial segment of the BBC-2 documentary series “Naked Hollywood.” The full episode contrasts the producing styles of Don Simpson-Jerry Bruckheimer and Lynda Obst-Debra Hill, but Simpson and Bruckheimer persuaded Paramount Pictures to withhold clearance of clips from their films (“Top Gun,” “Beverly Hills Cop” and “Days of Thunder”). That silenced the TV airing, since many of their interviews were shot in front of a video monitor displaying scenes from “Top Gun.” However, media and viewer interest caused A&E; to ask the BBC for the half of the episode that is clearable. A&E; says it is still “very potent.”
