Motorcyclist Killed in Accident on I-15

An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday on Interstate 15 in North County when he collided with a disabled pickup truck, then was struck by a car, authorities said.
Clarence Olson of Holyoke, Colo., died at 12:20 a.m. at the scene, just north of Deer Springs Road, said Officer Phil Konstantin of the California Highway Patrol.
Olson, who was traveling south in the right-hand lane, at about 70 m.p.h. when he crashed into the truck, the CHP said. The owner of the truck, Gonzalo Ramirez, had been trying to wave traffic around his stalled truck before the crash, Konstantin said.
Olson was thrown to the roadway and was then hit by a car that didn’t stop, Konstantin said.
