** Bang Tango, “Dancin’ on Coals,” Mechanic/MCA. If the Cult was the Beatles, Goth-obsessed Bang Tango would be Badfinger: too close to the original to really matter but with enough twists of its own to resist easy dismissal, notably on the almost-funky opener “Soul to Soul.” But when singer Joe LeSte isn’t sounding like Ian Astbury, he’s sounding like David Lee Roth, so it’s not like the group is filling any great void.
