1 Dead, 1 Wounded in Street Shooting

One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting at 16th Street and Imperial Avenue early Tuesday, police said.
Three men and a woman arrived at the intersection in a taxi shortly before 3 a.m. to meet some people, San Diego Police Lt. Dan Berglund said.
Moments after they stepped out, there were two bursts of gunfire, Berglund said.
One man was dead at the scene, said Dan Matticks, county medical examiner investigator. Authorities have not been able to identify the man, who was in his 20s, he said.
The other victim, Alfonso Garcia, was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, were he was in critical condition, a nursing supervisor said.
