ANAHEIM : Argument Leads to Shooting of Man
- Share via
An early morning argument Tuesday between a 22-year-old Anaheim man and two bicyclists led to the man’s being shot in the left leg and a Sheriff’s Department search for the assailants.
Crispen Zabala was walking about 1 a.m. in the 9000 block of Picadilly Way, which is in an unincorporated area just west of Gilbert Street and the Riverside Freeway in Anaheim, when he was confronted by two men riding bicycles, sheriff’s officials said.
An argument ensued and one of the bicyclists pulled a small-caliber handgun and shot Zabala in the lower left leg, officials said.
He was taken to Martin Luther Hospital where he was treated and released, officials said.
Deputies said there was no apparent motive for the shooting and it does not appear to be gang-related.
