Coach Joe Gibbs, winner of two Super Bowls in 11 years with the Washington Redskins, revealed plans to make his mark in another pressure sport, stock-car racing.
Gibbs, the fourth-winningest active NFL coach, announced the formation of the Joe Gibbs Racing Team, with Dale Jarrett as driver, Jimmy Makar as crew chief, four Chevrolet Luminas and a number of corporate sponsors. “This is the thrill of my life,” Gibbs, 50, said.
