Diff’rent Sentences: Former actress Dana Plato was given a six-year suspended prison sentence and will serve five years probation for robbing a video store in Las Vegas earlier this year. District Judge Stephen Huffaker of state District Court in Las Vegas imposed the prison sentence Tuesday, then suspended it and ordered the probation on the provision that Plato, 26, perform up to 400 hours of community service work and abstain from using drugs or alcohol. Plato, known for her role on the sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes,” pleaded guilty in June to one count of robbery.
