MISSION VIEJO : 2 Named as Deans at Saddleback College

Two college educators have been named deans at Saddleback College.

Jerilyn Chuman, former acting dean of counseling services and special programs, now holds the position permanently. Chuman has worked at the college since 1980 as a counselor and head of the college’s women’s studies department. She was named acting dean a year ago.

Douglas Barr was named dean of student development. He comes to Saddleback from Cabrillo College in Northern California, where he had held a variety of positions since 1975. His most recent post was director of student development.
