Drumming Up a Story: Former Kiss drummer Peter Criss has filed a libel lawsuit in Superior Court against the Star, which described him in a Jan. 8 story as a “hopeless alcoholic living a pathetic existence on the streets of Santa Monica.” Criss says neither is true, and his lawyer says the musician never spoke to the story’s author. Only one of several photographs that ran with the story was authentic but it was 10 years old, the lawyer said.
