SANTA ANA — Authorities raided a storage warehouse Friday and found truckloads of stolen goods that included baby strollers, cases of champagne and boxes of cereal, totaling about $500,000.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Jim Harris said many of the goods were cargoes hijacked from shipping trucks or stolen from various distribution warehouses in Los Angeles County.
Deputies served a search warrant at the warehouse at 1914 E. Edinger Ave. Friday morning after an investigation that also led to the arrests of three men from Los Angeles and San Diego counties, Harris said.
The Santa Ana warehouse was leased to an East Los Angeles man, Jose Oliberio Garcia, 35. Authorities said he was storing the stolen goods to be sold later.
Friday evening, trucks from various companies lined up outside the warehouse to retrieve their goods.
