At fortysomething, Summer sounds as if she’s still in search of her own musical identity. There are dance tracks here that are virtually indistinguishable from records Summer was making more than a decade ago when she was the queen of disco. And while a few of those dance numbers get by, the only song that actually seems to mean something to the singer is “Friends Unknown,” an intense, heartfelt ballad.
