La Canada Flintridge : City to Seek Park Funds
- Share via
The City Council voted unanimously Monday to seek funds from the countywide parks bond measure on next June’s ballot to acquire a 67-acre parcel north of the city bordering Angeles Crest Highway.
The application will compete with those from other cities for inclusion in the $800-million Los Angeles County Park, Beach and Recreation Act of 1992.
The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy has recommended that the city buy the land to provide access to the Cross Town and Mt. Lukens horse trails. City officials said they had not yet determined who owns the property or how much it would cost.
