La Canada Flintridge : Loans for Sewer Project
- Share via
The City Council on Monday voted unanimously to apply for $100,000 in state-guaranteed low-interest loans for preliminary design and applications for funds to build a $4-million sewer system through the Foothill Boulevard commercial district and along Oak Grove Drive to connect with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Pasadena.
Property owners to be served by the system, if approved, would be required to pay a $3,000 onetime hookup fee, with annual costs of $360 for the first 20 years and $78 per year thereafter.
The system will replace existing septic tanks in the area.
