‘Spring Day’ to Replace Good Friday as Holiday

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — For Wyandotte County workers, Good Friday is no longer a holiday. County commissioners voted Tuesday to replace it with a “spring holiday,” beginning next April 17--Good Friday. The commission acted in response to an American Civil Liberties Union complaint that the county was observing a religious holiday.
