Girlfriend Arrested in Man’s Stabbing Death

A 22-year-old Van Nuys man was found stabbed to death Sunday, and his girlfriend was arrested in connection with the slaying, police said.
Answering a call about an attempted suicide, paramedics and police found the body of Anthony Hester in his apartment in the 14300 block of Burbank Boulevard about 6 a.m. Sunday, Los Angeles Police Officer Paget Mitchell said. Hester had apparently died from a stab wound to the upper body, he said.
Mitchell said an investigation showed that Hester’s girlfriend, Keila Vanessa McLean, 18, stabbed Hester during a domestic dispute.
McLean was booked on suspicion of murder into Van Nuys Jail, where she remained without bail.
