Glendale Quality of Life Called ‘Bleak’

This letter is in response to your article on the (survey concerning the) deteriorating quality of life in Glendale (Times, Dec. 5).
As a 27-year resident of Glendale, I, too, have noticed the quality of life rapidly deteriorating in our community. Overcrowded parks, greedy developers, Third World refugees and ethnic gangs that were unheard of 20 years ago are only part of our community problems. It seems to me that Glendale is now becoming a push-and-shove society where respect for our police, traffic laws and cultural traditions are now a thing of the past.
I beg to differ with Mr. Sassounian, of the United Armenian Fund, that “our problems are nothing major and time will heal these hardships.”
As for the future of our once fair city, I would rate it as bleak.
