The North Orange County Community College District will offer a series of three-week classes for high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors to prepare for the Scholastic Aptitude Test and the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship exam.
Five sections of the class will be taught on Wednesday afternoons for students in Yorba Linda, Cypress and Fullerton. A reservation for the Yorba Linda session must be made by Friday. The other sessions require registration at least five days before the first class. The fee is $125.
The classes cover the differences in test formats and common strategies for successful test-taking. Classes will include a practice run using a model exam.
The Yorba Linda session begins Jan. 8 at the college’s Yorba Linda Education Center. The Cypress session begins Feb. 19 at Cypress College. Three sessions will be offered in Fullerton at Rosary High School beginning March 11, April 1 and May 13.
All classes will run from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. except for the classes in April, which will run from 4 to 8 p.m. To register or for information, call the college at (714) 779-8577.
