Accident on the Set: A worker was crushed to death between two lighting equipment lifts on the set of “The Bodyguard,” the Kevin Costner movie shooting in downtown Los Angeles. William Vitagliano was killed Friday while operating a lift on the set near 6th and Main streets, police said. The Warner Bros. film stars Costner as a bodyguard and singer Whitney Houston as an actress he is protecting. The accident is under investigation.
