The morning bustle at Diedrich’s Coffee in Costa Mesa has the pace and feel of New York City or some other commuter metropolis. Caffeine-craving patrons stream in and out quickly like subway riders dashing into the corner joint for their traveling-cup fill-up and New York Times. A popular favorite for fresh roast brews and pastries, it also serves up live music and poetry readings.
