The possibility of Steve Sax’s being traded from the New York Yankees to the Chicago White Sox increased when the second baseman waived his right to block a deal to Chicago.
Yankee General Manager Gene Michael, who backed away from a deal last week, said that he will speak again with White Sox General Manager Ron Schueler.
New York could get pitcher Melido Perez and another player.
