McDonnell Douglas on Tuesday announced executive management changes for its MD-11 and MD-12 jet programs at its Douglas Aircraft Co. unit in Long Beach.
George G. Field, a 22-year Douglas veteran, was named vice president of technology for the MD-12 jet, in charge of all design aspects.
He was succeeded by Allen C. Haggerty, who was named vice president of product definition for the MD-11, responsible for design, product improvement, production engineering and tooling support for the family of transport aircraft. Haggerty was formerly executive vice president and vice president and general manager of the MD-500 program at McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co.
David A. Little has been named vice president of MD-12 production operations. Previously, Little was vice president of production for the C-17 program.
